The course Feasibility Study, under Dr. Maria Teresa A. Martinez, culminated in the students’ presentation and defense of the feasibility of their business concepts. This happened on April 6, 2019 for Business majors: Rachelle Angelique M. Ong, Kevin Paolo T. dela Cruz, and Franzeth Zairus R. Medrano.
Rachel and Kevin presented and defended their online business “Stylized” which they envisioned to cater to women working in Makati Offices. They offer the services of a personal stylist, marked down brand name clothes and accessories, as well as free delivery within the Makati area.
On the other hand, Franzeth presented the expansion plan for “Florista Flower Shop” in Coron, Palawan. Recognizing the potential of Coron as an events destination, the new branch will provide fresh flowers as well as events venue styling. Products and services are offered online which will eventually open the family business to the international market.
Present during the defense were Dr. Mary Grace S. Termulo, Dr. Ruby Leah Lising, and Mrs. Jennet Cua from the College Department. These panelists questioned the students on the different aspects of their feasibility study ranging from Marketing, Product Sourcing, Human Resource, Survey of Competition, and Financial Management, and provided suggestions and advice for the improvement of their business plans.
Asked whether the studies presented were “for requirement” or “for real” these students said that the public should look forward to their business which will slowly but surely make marks in the market.
